Interface study / 01A simpler, more effective Duolingo
Most people have experienced frustration with Duolingo and not feeling like they’re making progress fast enough, especially as it translates to: “Can I say useful sentences in real life?” That’s a long topic on its own, but in short, what I wanted was something simple and to the point: 1) just practice doing straightforward translation and 2) make sure I’m moving forward.
This doesn’t cover everything you need to learn a language, but things like vocabulary practice are already well covered by any number of flashcard solutions.

The app generates a sentence for you to practice translating, then uses AI to give feedback on your answer and what to fix. If you’re confused about something, you can ask follow-up questions.

Your progress gets measured against the CEFR standards, with a goal of pushing you toward the next level.

And it keeps track of your biggest strengths and weaknesses recently, then uses all of that to generate the next best sentence for you.
